Week 4: What have we done so far that has been
helpful to your writing process? How might
you apply this helpful information or tool?
What has been confusing or what would
you like to spend more time on? If the
clarification/additional focus does not occur
during class time, how will you acquire the
knowledge?
Answer: What we have done so far to help my writing process is peer reviews and also a consultation with the professor to discuss my work and what needs to be improved. I will apply this tool for whatever future assignments I may have or if I need to talk to my friends or family about it to help see how I can make my work as good as possible. I would like to spend more time on techniques, and If not received during class time, I will do my own research and eventually just teach myself for the future.
Week 6: Analyze the rhetorical situation of your
Learning Analysis. Introduce your essay’s
genre, purpose, audience, and context,
and reflect on the extent to which you
achieved the learning goals of the
assignment as well as any goals you set
for yourself.
Answer: My essay’s genre is learning things. How I learn things. The audience isn’t directly towards anybody in specific, but anybody, and the context is to show how past mistakes can better you as a human being, and what you can learn from such experiences. The extent to where I actually ended up learning the goals of the assignment is actually applying what I learned from past mistakes into more modern scenarios and whatnot, and also just being more mindful so the same thing doesn’t happen again.
Week 7: Annotate one article you plan to use in
your research. Share what kind of
information you wrote in your annotations.
Did annotating help you? If yes, how? If
no, why not? What else do you need to do
to process this article?
Answer: One article I plan to use in my research is a article called Education: A Global Compact for a Time of Crisis. Some information I wrote in general is that as a young person who grows up in such a environment where there is bad influence and people and things that aren’t what they seem, it’s really easy to get fooled or to believe what people say, and that also educating yourself in the way of reading and writing will help maneuver your life in such a way that you will succeed. Annotating did help because it led me to include straightforward information. I need to process more information overall by annotating more and choosing carefully what information to choose.
Week 8:
Select one learning objective or one
component of a learning objective. How
have you learned it? How have you
developed in this arena so far this
semester?
Answer: One learning objective I learned is how to know what sources to use for research. I learned it by my professor introducing different ways to detect if a source is reliable or not, while also being a source that is useful and not too old. I developed this in question for my research informed essay in a way that I will have accurate and recent information for my topic.
Week 9: Research Sources – Discuss your research sources. What media are you using? How do these different types of media support your topic/ideas? your writing work?
Answer: My research sources are about grammar literacy and the in depth explanation of being able to read & write. These types of media support my ideas because it has information packed and is also reliable. They also connect to my topic in a way that I’m able to explain it through, and also just other small things.
Week 10: What we have done so far to help my writing process is peer reviews and also a consultation with the professor to discuss my work and what needs to be improved. I will apply this tool for whatever future assignments I may have or if I need to talk to my friends or family about it to help see how I can make my work as good as possible. I would like to spend more time on techniques, and If not received during class time, I will do my own research and eventually just teach myself for the future.
Week 11: What’s the intended rhetorical situation of your Research essay? What do you need to do to make this situation a reality?
Answer: The intended rhetorical situation of my Research essay is to show the importance of learning how to read and write. Obviously everybody knows how to, but the question really asks how good they are at it. Now, to make this a reality, I would have to express the importance of it or maybe even try to my own extent to help people to the best of my ability.
Week 13: As you have continued your research work, how has your argument evolved?
Answer: My argument has evolved in such a way that it’s almost impossible to debate just because of how important it is. I’m still trying to evolve my argument to an extent so that I can make it way stronger throughout my essay, but in all overall, it’s gotten easy. Also while being able to find sources to use that elaborate on whatever points I may make throughout my essay is useful as I won’t have any sufficient evidence to any claims, and my essay will be weak.
